Armati is a set of easy-to-understand rules and lists for Ancient, Medieval and Renaissance wargaming, written by Arty Conliffe and published by Quantum Printing in 1994. A supplement, Advanced Armati, co-authored by Arty Conliffe and Rob Wolsky was subsequently published in 1996; This provided a new army list system, clarifications, and a host of new rules.
The latest addition to the Armati system, Armati 2nd Edition by Rob Wolsky assisted by Arty Conliffe, returns Armati to a single volume format for Ancient and Medieval wargaming. It features an extensive overhaul of the game system for clarity, play balance, and ease of play. A Renaissance volume is currently in development; this will be a stand-alone ruleset, not a supplement, and will further expand and refine the system.
